The Hire Big 10+ Career Consortium is a network of dedicated career services professionals from the Big Ten schools, as well as DePaul University, the University of Chicago, and the University of Notre Dame.

Serving as a Knowledge Community or Committee Co-Chair is a great way to grow professionally while staying connected to the Hire Big Ten Plus community. It’s a manageable commitment designed for facilitators—not heavy lifters—with full logistical support from the Executive Board.
As a co-chair, you’ll build leadership experience, expand your network, and help shape conversations around key topics in career services. Whether you're passionate about DEI, employer relations, international students, or tech and assessment, there's a space for your voice and vision.

Key Responsibilities
Facilitate about two meetings each semester to engage members.
Collaborate with co-chairs and Board liaison to set goals and share updates.
Foster discussion on community or committee topics.
Onboard new members and maintain membership lists.
Share news via newsletter and LinkedIn group.
Take brief meeting notes and share with the Board.
Support future leadership by identifying potential co-chairs.
Your two-year term starts and ends at the Allerton conference, and you can count on the Executive Board to provide all necessary logistical help, so your role stays manageable and enjoyable.
